How consultations work
What happens in a consultation?
Your first homeopathy consultation can last for up to 1½ hours. I will ask you about your symptoms, when they started, your family and medical history if you are having treatment for the condition. I will also ask about emotional wellbeing and how the illness has an impact for you, all of which are important when finding the correct remedy. Follow-up appointments are approximately 45 minutes.
How long will treatment take?
There is no set treatment time as each person is different. Most people see noticeable results fairly quickly. Often they start to feel better ‘in themselves’ and symptoms improve from then on. However, if you have been unwell for some time you may need to see your homoeopath several times in order to obtain the full benefit. It is recommended that a yearly check up with your homeopath will help maintain good health.
Is there anything I should do to ensure my treatment is effective?
I will ask about your diet and lifestyle and about medication you are taking. I may offer practical suggestions to help you improve your overall health, including drinking more water, regular exercise and diet. For example, a diet free from artificial colourings and preservatives will enhance your wellbeing and the effectiveness of the remedy
Can I take homeopathy alongside medication?
Homoeopathy will work alongside medication from your GP and you may notice a reduction of the side effects. Always consult your GP if you have any questions regarding your medication.
