Kate Simmonds
BSc (Hons) & a member of The Royal Society of Homoeopaths
Kate is a homoeopath or homeopath that works in Kent and London. Kate is passionate about health and homoeopathy understanding that overall health consists of emotional and physical wellbeing. Kate is a classically trained homoeopath and looks at each person as an individual, treating the whole person. Kate has found homeopathy to be a safe, gentle and effective form of treatment.
Kate’s areas of interest include fertility, pregnancy and birth and treating children from birth through to adulthood
‘I am passionate about family and people having the family they desire. Even if that feels like an impossibility. The area of infertility is a difficult subject if you have wanted to have a baby for sometime without success and then perhaps having invasive tests done to show that something is wrong. Due to the nature of homoeopathy it can readdress the balance of the body and I have had some success with women over the age of 40 becoming pregnant after taking homoeopathy for several months’
Kate is also very interested in the area of fitness and homeopathy; this includes people who visit the gym and are looking for a change, GP referrals and sports people. Homoeopathy can be used to treat various sporting injuries and helps maintain a strong supple body and mind.
‘I am interested in homoeopathy for sports, especially with the possibility of team in mind. On a physical level homoeopathy can aid in recovery of injuries and can support the muscles, joints and ligaments through rigorous training. Taking into account the mental and emotional aspects of homoeopathy it can bring a team together. The German football team are a great example of homoeopathy in action’
How I became a homoeopath
‘I was first taken to a homoeopath at the age of 11 after a serious illness. I was put on stronger and stronger medication which did little to stop the symptoms so my mother decided to try an alternative route. Homoeopathy cleared up my symptoms within days and addressed many other areas of my health including my asthma and hay fever. I have been taking homoeopathic remedies ever since. At the age of 18 I met a wonderful homoeopath who really inspired me. This is when I decided to become a homoeopath. I graduated from the University of Westminster and hold a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in homoeopathy and I am a registered member of the society of homeopaths (RSHom).
